Jim Mergenthaler’s humble beginnings originated on a dairy farm in the mountains of Upstate New York. It was this independent country background that taught him the value of hard work, and the strength and bond of family, assets which would later be a great advantage for Jim’s career as an industry professional.
While studying finance in college, Jim also obtained his mortgage broker license. He began his real estate career at a local firm as a lone broker, soon growing that into its own office. Shortly after leaving that company, Jim founded his own mortgage brokerage business and obtained his real estate license as well as life, health, and annuities insurance license. Working almost exclusively with international buyers for many years, he obtained his real estate brokers license and effectively ran a one-stop-shop.
After a downturn in the market, Jim specialized exclusively on real estate and marketing for international clientele, with many of these customers becoming life-long family friends. With the motto of “always moving forward,” Jim took on another challenge in 2016 when he obtained his firefighter certifications and, shortly after, obtained a paramedic license for the state of Florida.
The main tenets of fire service are duty, respect, and integrity, which are the same principles he incorporates with every customer.
